Snoopy has arrived in the Saint Paris Public Library display case. Come and see many fun and interesting items from this collection. This collection owned by Clayton Fidler of Saint Paris will be with us for the month of November. We are thankful for this.

A Library is not a museum.
A library must continuously address space issues. While we purchase books year round we have to make room for them in the collection. The books we pull often end up in the book sale. A museum wants to hold all acquisitions, whereas, a library has limited space and must discard and replace items on a continual basis. This is not an easy job, because we fall in love with the books and hate to weed them. The fall is the time of year we address this issue to prepare for the sale.

Growing the DVD Collection
Have you noticed we have moved the DVD collection to a larger space? We are growing this collection. After January 2010, we are going to slowly reduce the VHS tapes holding. This format is defunct and no longer available for us to purchase. Many of the tapes will find their way into the sale this year. Change is inevitable!

Snow Closings
The 2010 Framer’s Almanac is calling for a harsh winter! Please watch Channel 7, TV, for updates on the library closings. I try to follow the school closings, and also make determinations based on the current conditions. Opening at noon is a good choice for us once the roads are cleared and we feel safer to make our way to work. Call before you leave your home if you want to be sure of our attendance. 663 4349
